Our swage-locked steel bar grating is the preferred choice for industrial, architectural, construction, and municipal engineering applications due to its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, minimal deflection, and maximum safety.
Manufacturing Process
Our swage-locked steel grating is manufactured through a swaging and welding process. Cross bars are inserted into pre-punched holes (typically diamond-shaped or round) in the bearing bars and welded at each intersection, creating a permanent mechanical connection. Cross bars are typically twisted square steel bars or round steel bars.
Material & Welding Specifications
  • Premium carbon steel (Q235): CO2 gas-shielded welding process (laser welding available upon request)
  • Stainless steel (304): Laser welding process
Material Options & Finishes
  • Materials: Premium carbon steel and stainless steel
  • Carbon steel finishes: Mill finish, hot dip galvanizing, powder coating, or PVDF painting in standard RAL colors
  • Stainless steel finishes: Electro-polishing available
